TEMPLE OF PLAY
This project reimagines the Hubert H. Humphrey Building in Washington, DC through a series of four drawings. Moving away from it's use as Department of Health and Human Services headquarters, the Temple of Play imagines a new cabinet-level department called the "Department of Play". Capped with a massive glass and wood pyramid, the new building is filled with a massive playground, slides, nets, restaurants, day care center, and space for rest along the National Mall.
This exploration was done in collaboration with BLDUS and is part of the Capital Brutalism Exhibition currently on view at the National Building Museum.
